Getting ready to set sail: Disney debuts Disney Wish

Hey Disney Fans! We have some exciting news for you all. The newest world-class ship has joined the Disney Cruise Line fleet: the Disney Wish! The Disney Wish will sail its maiden voyage a five-night cruise to Nassau, the Bahamas, and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay on July 14, 2022 from Port Canaveral.

The christening ceremony kicked off on 06/29/2022 with celebrity guest, Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek, alongside Disney Parks, Experinces and Products chairman, Josh D’Amaro. Chapek stated “Like all the ships in our fleet, the Disney Wish is the best in class, purpose built to inspire a sense of delight and wonder. This ship is a celebration of nearly 100 years of Disney storytelling and excellence, and it brings fantastic worlds and beloved characters to life like never before,”.

At approximately 144,000 gross tons and 1,250 guest staterooms, the ship will be slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. The Disney Wish will also be powered by liquified natural gas, or LNG, one of the cleanest-burning fuels available. On board, there’s enchantment everywhere you turn, where fantastical worlds and beloved characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars are brought to life in new and amazing ways for everyone in the family.

Vaccine Requirements

Currently, Disney Cruise Line continues to require all vaccine-eligible Guests (based on US eligibility requirements) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the time of sailing.
