Minnie Vans Are BACK in Disney World

Rideshare services have become a popular option for guest visiting Disney World! But one brings a bit more magic than the others. Minnie Vans are Minnie Mouse-themed vehicles operated by Lyft that provide direct and private transportation around the Disney World resort. Minnie Vans paused operation after the COVID-19 closures. And we’re excited to say that as of June 29th, 2022 they are back! You can now arrange a pick-up with a Minnie Van through the Lyft app (as Lyft operates the service).

Minnie Vans provide a direct and private ride from one location to another at Walt Disney World Resort. For transportation around Disney World Resort, each Minnie Van vehicle is able to accommodate up to 6 Guests and up to 2 complimentary child seats if needed.

At this time transportation to and from Walt Disney World and Orlando International Airport (MCO), and as a ground transportation option between Walt Disney World and Port Canaveral for the Disney Cruise Line Terminal has not returned.

Tips:

  • Be sure to carefully type in the addresses you want to be picked up from and be dropped off at. Placing “Disney” in front of the location like “Disney Magic Kingdom”, it seems to help the system find things better and identify that it was a location on Disney property.

  • If the Minnie Van option doesn’t pop up when you first search, be sure to play around with the app and the names of the locations to see if you can ultimately have that Minnie Van option pop up.

Remember, Disney World offers its share of FREE transportation options, like buses Skyliner, Monorail, and boats. But some can be limited (for example, you can’t easily travel from one hotel to another). You can schedule a regular rideshare service to get you places, but keep in mind that Minnie Vans will provide up to two car seats at no additional charge, which can be a help for parties with small kiddos.
