Required Documentation

All pets visiting must be up to date with their vaccines. Written proof is required from your veterinarian at time of check-in. Some resorts and kennels may require additional documentation.

Pets at the Hotels

While certain floors or sections of Resort hotels are designated as dog-friendly, the majority of areas remain pet-free to protect Guests with allergies or other needs. Dogs are expected to be well-behaved and leashed in approved pet friendly public areas. Each hotel will have their own pet policies.

Other than service animals, dogs are not permitted in theme parks, water parks or common areas such as restaurants, pools and recreational spaces.

Pets at Universal Orlando Resort

Requirements & Documentation

  • You must have a health certificate for each pet, obtained from a veterinarian within 10 days of the pet’s arrival and it must be presented upon check-in at the hotel.

  • Pets under 75 lbs. are welcome

  • You are allowed up to 2 pets per room

  • A fee of $50 per night with a maximum of $150 per stay will be applied at check-in

Pet Hotel Perks

  • Each pet is welcomed with a personal note from the hotel’s general manager which includes a listing of pet hotel services available and a map of the area with dog-walking routes highlighted.

  • A special amenity that includes a pet place mats with food and water bowls, toys and treats, and a “pet in room” sign that lets housekeeping know that a pet is in the room.

  • Pet walking and pet sitting services are available through the hotels’ concierge desks.

Participating Hotels:

Portofino Bay Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Royal Pacific, and Sapphire Falls Resort. Only certain category rooms are available for the pet program.

Pets at The Walt Disney World Resort

Requirements & Documentation

  • You must be able to provide documentation that your dog’s vaccinations and inoculations are up to date, upon request.

  • At this time, dogs are the only pets allowed

  • You are allowed up to 2 pets per room

  • A fee of $50-$75 per night (excluding tax) will be applied to the room account.

Pet Hotel Perks

  • Upon arrival, dogs and their owners will be greeted with a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit- includes a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, plastic potty bags, a few puppy pads, and dog walking maps.

  • Easy access to outdoor walkways for exercise and to green spaces with pet relief areas.

  • Reservations for Doggy Day Care can be made with Best Friends Pet Care right on Walt Disney World Resort property.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. Only certain category rooms are available for the pet program.
