Expedition Everest is scheduled to reopen in Animal Kingdom on April 16th

Expedition Everest is a fan favorite attraction located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This attraction closed on January 4th for a lengthy refurbishment, scheduled for reopening sometime in mid-April. As April approached, we anxiously awaited news on when this coaster would reopen.

Well Disney park fans , we have some exciting news: Expedition Everest is scheduled to reopen in Animal Kingdom on April 16th, 2022! You can check out the ride’s availability on Disney World’s website, where it lists the ride as opening for Early Theme Park Entry at 7AM beginning on April 16th.

Something else that is exciting to mention is Expedition Everest is listed as a Lightning Lanes included with a Genie+ purchases. Previously, Expedition Everest was available for purchase as an Individual Lightning Lane. This is a wonderful addition to Genie+, and is sure to be good news for those that are planning on using Genie+ during their visit.
