Reopening DATE Announced for EPCOT’s Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Hey Disney park fans! We have some very exciting news for you all! Akershus Royal Banquet Hall will be reopening on November 4th, 2022! This dining spot in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion will FINALLY be serving guests again soon — it’s been closed since the parks shut down in 2020 for the global pandemic.
What is Akershus? This location serves up Norwegian-inspired food in a tucked-away castle, and is also a Princess character meal! However, were unsure if the characters will be returning.
What’s on the menu again? Well, Disney has shared that this dining option will return as a family-style dining experience and include things like Traditional KjØttkaker featuring Norwegian meatballs and the Kylling og Melboller, which is a Norwegian take on chicken and dumplings. Not an adventurous eater? If you want something that’s more classic American-cuisine, you can get that here, too! Try out the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Grilled Salmon, and Macaroni & Cheese.
