Disney World’s Fantasmic! Closing in Early May

If you follow Wave of the Wand, you’ll know that the Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular is our Travel Advisor Angel’s favorite thing to do in Disney World. Fantasmic! is a water-based nighttime spectacular show that combines live action, animation, pyrotechnics, and special effects. The show is performed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Obviously we think this show is a must do for park guest! It has recently been announced that Fantasmic! will be closing on May 1st and May 2nd to allow Cast Members to complete routine maintenance.

Guest that have reserved the dining packages received emails stating that Disney will honor their dining reservation times and guest will only be charged the price for the standard meal. We know this is a big loss to those that have planned to see this incredible show on the closure dates. If you’re one of the unlucky ones impacted by this change, we recommend seeing if you can modify your park reservations for a new date. If you had the Fantasmic Dining package, you can use a free service call Mouse Dining. They will alert you when a new reservation become available. You will need to be quick, but many have had success with this service.
