Disney’s Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Reopened

Hey Disney park fans! As some of you may know, one of Disney’s Hollywood Studios main attractions- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster has been closed since February 20th, 2023. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was announced to be closed for any extended amount for a much needed refurbishment. Disney did not release an official reopening date, however its was released that the attraction would reopen summer of 2023. Well that date has finally arrived!

This reopening was a big surprise, due to the fact that Disney never announced the specific reopening date. If you’re not familiar with Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, it’s a unique attraction that combines the adrenaline rush of a high-speed roller coaster with the excitement of rock music. The ride is themed around the popular American rock band Aerosmith, and it provides guests with a backstage pass to join the band on a wild ride through the streets of Los Angeles to make it to a concert on time.

The coaster takes place in the dark, simulating a nighttime drive through the city streets. Neon signs, billboards, and other city landmarks are illuminated along the track, creating an immersive environment. As you ride the coaster, you'll be immersed in the music of Aerosmith. Each train features a unique soundtrack, allowing riders to experience different songs from the band's repertoire.

The queue area of the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is designed to resemble the band's recording studio and office. Guests walk through various themed rooms, such as the band's recording studio and a room filled with memorabilia and gold records. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster features inversions, drops, and tight turns, providing a thrilling experience for adrenaline seekers. The coaster includes three inversions: a corkscrew, a roll over, and a half-loop. To ride the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, guests must be at least 48 inches (122 cm) tall. Additionally, there are safety restraints and seat belts to ensure a secure ride.
