Download the My Disney Experience app and know how to use it
You will be using this app for everything! You can keep an eye out on park hours, ride times, manage your dinning reservations, Genie+ passes (New paid skip the line feature), mobile order quick service meals, and get that sweet Rise of the Resistance boarding pass! There are many helpful features on this app and it has become a must have for your trip.
We recommend that you become comfortable with the app and how to use it before the start of your vacation. It’s very important to make sure you have your entire party link to your account ahead of time under your friends and family list.
How to create/link accounts:
Something else to note is this app can be glitchy. Be sure to screen shot everything. Hotel reservation, park tickets, park reservations, dinning reservations, Genie+ confirmations, mobile orders, and Rise of the Resistance boarding pass. If the unfortunate event of the app glitching occurs while trying to get a boarding pass, be sure to screen shot that as well. Sometimes a cast member may be able to help you, this of course is not guaranteed but worth a try. Remember to be kind to the cast member trying to help you. To help avoid the app from slowing or glitching stay off Disney’s wifi.
If you decide to wear a MagicBand it will need to be linked to the My Disney Experience app. If you choose to buy the MagicBand with a vacation package, they will already be linked and shipped to your home. If you book a last minute vacation they will arrive to your hotel. If you have purchased your MagicBand separately or reusing one from a previous trip you can link your MagicBand to the app with the link below.

while planning your adventure if you come across the issue of not being able to snag the dinning reservation you want keep checking the app. Cancellations do happen and most often they will happen closer to the start of your vacation.
