Update: Additional Attractions will REMAIN apart of the standard Genie+ offerings

Exciting news for all of you Disney Parks fans! Disney World has officially added more attractions to the standard Genie+ offerings! Before we get into the details, let’s review what the Genie+ system is for those that may not know.

Disney Genie+ is the paid system that replaced FastPass+ in Disney World. Over the last several months, since Genie+’s debut, we’ve seen a number of changes made to the system. This system did have a rocky start that left many park guest frustrated with how complicated it is to use this new system. Disney has made many changes since the launch, and now another change is on its way!

Just as a quick recap, with Genie+ you can pay a set amount ($15 per person per day in Disney World) to make Lightning Lane reservations at some of your favorite rides in the parks. When your Lightning Lane return time arrives, you skip the standby line and get to use the Lightning Lane instead. You can make 1 Lightning Lane selection at a time. But know, not all rides are available through the standard Genie+ service! To skip the lines at some of Disney World’s most popular rides (Rise of the Resistance, Flight of Passage, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train ) you have to pay to access the lightning Lanes individually. That’s called Individual Attraction Selection(IAS). The pricing for these attractions will range from $7.00 to $21.00 per person depending upon the time of year and the attraction.

During high crowd seasons, Disney has offered certain Individual Attraction Selection rides through the regular Genie+ service to accommodate the higher demand. Most recently, Disney made several rides that are normally available through Individual Attraction Selection available through the regular Genie+ service through August 7th. This included Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Expedition Everest.

The Disney website previously noted that all of these would only be available through the regular Genie+ service until August 7th, 2022 and would return to being offered through Individual Attraction Selection (or pay-per-ride) once again.

We are happy to confirm that Disney has revealed that Space Mountain, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Expedition Everest, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will all REMAIN standard Genie+ offerings after August 7th, 2022. Guest that purchase Genie+ can skip the standby lines at these spots, and will not need to pay for them individually anymore. This absolutely adds more value to Genie+, and were happy to hear that these rides will remain to be offered with this newer system. If you would like to learn more on how to use Genie+ click here!
