Universal To Require Prior Disability Access Approval

Hey Universal park fans! As you all may know, park policies are constantly changing and evolving, and we have a major update to bring you all. Beginning July 24, 2023, Guests in need of disability access at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will be required to obtain an Attractions Assistance Pass. Those interested in attraction accommodations will need complete the online registration to get an IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card before their visit. Universal’s new disability access procedure Is called the IBCCES Accessibility Card, aka IAC.

Currently, visitors who are unable to wait in line for an extended amount of time can visit guest services to obtain a special card. Once in hand, they’re able to head to an attraction’s entrance, where they’re given a return time. The new IBCCES system will work in a similar fashion; however, registration will be different. Please see video for more details. If you would like to learn more about the IBCCES Accessibility Card, or if you wish to register, please click here to view the website.

Other amusement parks, such as Six Flags, have already hopped on the IBCCES bandwagon, making use of the same format. This has led many to wonder if Disney might implement a similar process at its Parks. Many Disney Park fans have had significant issues obtaining their DAS pass due to Disney's multi-hour wait queues for registration.
