New Attraction Coming to Universal Orlando

Hey Universal park fans, we have some big news for you all! Universal has officially announced what will be replacing the Shrek 4D attraction. When Shrek 4D Closed, the location was covered up with construction walls, walls decorated with Minions! Which was our first clue at the new attraction soon to come.
On December 8th, 2022 Universal announced that the new attraction will be Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast and will open in the summer of 2023 at Universal Studios Florida. It will be part of the new Minion Land on Illumination Ave, where you’ll find Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and a new Minion Café.
Universal states that the attraction will be an “interactive, blaster game experience will invite guests to put their villainous skills to the test as they compete against each other in a bid to join the ranks of the franchise’s most infamous supervillains.”
This attraction will be very different than the other shooter ride in the park, MIB “The attraction will combine innovative screen technology, gaming interactivity, and elaborate physical sets to “create a one-of-a-kind, game-based adventure where guests encounter immersive environments, nefarious villains and tons of mischievous Minions from Illumination’s films in a whole new way.” Guest will be handed an interactive blaster and step onto a motion-based pathway. The goal will be to cause as much mayhem and destruction as possible, you’re joining the minions after all ;)
